Make the best use of our digital banking service while protecting yourself

Do not open any email, SMS or social media message from unknown sender as it may be part of a scam. Standard Chartered Hong Kong will only send you email using “sc.com” as our email domains.

Never disclose your personal confidential information like bank account details and PIN, or make transaction instructions on social media or instant messenger app such as WeChat, WeiBo, Douyin, Facebook, Whatsapp and etc.

Protect yourself from impersonation fraud
Be aware of bogus phone call and fraudulent SMS messages purportedly from banks. Please note that we will not ask for personal or account information through pre-recorded messages or other communication channels.

|
Do not disclose any personal information to suspicious calls. Verify the hotline numbers provided in the message with us through our official hotline 852 2886 8868 before calling.

Work with us to let us serve you better

If there is any update of your personal information and contact details, inform us at your earliest convenience.

Make sure you read and understand the documents and forms we provide before signing, and please do not sign on any blank or incomplete forms.

Ensure the information you provide to us is genuine and accurate. Notify us immediately if you find any forgery or alteration of your information without your authorization.

Set a strong password for Online Banking and SC Mobile and change it regularly.
|
|
|
Manage your accounts and conduct transactions via our Online Banking, SC Mobile, Phone Banking or by visiting our branches. Our staff would not perform any transaction without your registered means of instruction or change password on behalf of you.

|
Your passbook, cheque books, all kinds of PIN or password, ATM cards and credit cards should be kept by you, instead of any bank staff.
|
|
|
Our staff would not conduct any off-the-record transactions (such as selling product and making transaction privately through social media or instant message app), private lending, soliciting business or making any agreement to share benefits or bear losses with you.

If you receive any bogus phone call, fraudulent SMS messages, phishing websites, email and mobile app purportedly from banks, or encounter any suspicious activity in your accounts, please click here to contact us.
