Significant banking system upgrade
As part of our ongoing commitment to digital transformation for an elevated client-centric banking experience, we would like to inform you that we are undertaking a significant banking system upgrade ("System Upgrade") from 10:00pm HKT on 6 March (Friday) to 12:00nn HKT on 8 March (Sunday), 2026.

Please note below the services available and those to be temporarily suspended during the System Upgrade, preparation required beforehand, and the client journey that will follow. You are advised to take necessary actions in advance.

Our services will resume in phases, with updates available on our website or this System Upgrade page on the morning of 8 March. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.


* Final arrangement would be announced on our website (sc.com/hk) by 27 February (Friday). The System Upgrade period may be extended to 4:00pm on 8 March (Sunday) if necessary.

Our banking agreement will be updated with the relevant changes stated in the enclosed Notice of Changes to Terms and Conditions (the "NoC"), which will take effect from 8 March 2026 (Sunday) (the “Effective Date”), subject to the completion of the System Upgrade which will be announced on the Bank’s website or this System Upgrade page. Until then, the prevailing banking agreement shall continue to apply.
